In accordance with the Indiana Open Door Law I.C. 5-14-1.5-1 requires the Elkhart County Council to give the Media written notice of date, time, and place of its meeting, executive sessions and rescheduled or reconvened meetings. Pursuant to I.C. 5-14-1.5-5 the statute requires 48 hours’ notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) be given to the public and specifically to news media that request in writing prior to January 1 of each calendar year.
