To process the work of the Courts; collect fines, fees and costs; collect child support cash payments; issue marriage licenses; conduct elections; administer voter registration, and keep the records of the Courts, Election Board, and Voter Registration.
The Elkhart County Clerk's Office has two main functions. The first is to maintain the records of the courts. The second is to administer the elections and voter registration in Elkhart County.
The Elkhart County Election Board and the Elkhart County Voter Registration Office provide information about voter registration, absentee voting, candidate filing and requests, past election results, and various registration and voting deadlines.
The Elkhart County Clerk serves as the Secretary of the Election Board, and maintains the Election Board Office at 1905 Reliance Road, Goshen. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, excluding County Holidays.
