Information about Property Taxes

Property taxes are due annually in two installments, May 10 and November 10 or the following business day. Any unpaid balance remaining after these due dates is assessed a penalty. There is a 5% penalty added to any balance paid within 30 calendar days after the due date. An additional 5% penalty will be added on the 31st day after the due date. The Treasurer’s office accepts partial payments for taxes in any amount throughout the year although any unpaid amounts remaining as of the due date are subject to penalties. Property tax bills are mailed annually at least 15 business days prior to the due date of the first installment. Please contact the office if you prefer to receive your tax bill by email. Property tax information, copies of tax bills and payment coupons are available online by clicking ‘Pay and/or View Bills Online’ above or visiting In accordance with Indiana State Law; not receiving a property tax bill is not sufficient reason to waive any penalties.
